It was a perfect start to the forth season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport for A1 Team Malaysia in Zandvoort, Netherlands.

Fairuz Fauzy and the Malaysian A1GP dominated the Sprint race and won second place in the Feature race, coping with torrential rain, in the new A1GP Powered by Ferrari car, to take the first spoils and claim an excellent maiden win of the season for Malaysia.

Launched in March 2004, the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport is more than just another racing phenomenon; it’s an entirely new concept. Pitting driver against driver and country against country for the first time in history, A1GP brings together 23 nations to compete as equals, without financial or technological advantage. Different from Formula 1 cars, all A1GP cars came with same specifications and configurations.
