Can You Make Money Online?

Posted in Business, Money Maker by User ImageMZaidee

Google NemesisMaking a living these days does not even require you to leave the comfort of your own home. In fact, you can now start your own business with little or no money at all. Hmmm… The internet!

While searching recently, I found that people with no experience at all with computers were making a lot of money online. Fantastic! Are they real? (I don’t care. It is too appealing. Just give it a try!) If they can do it, I can do it too.

There are so many different opportunities to make money with an online business. Here are just four ways to make money online:

Affiliate programs - There are many companies online that offer commission based incentives. They provide you with all of the training and tools you need to market their products. If you happen to sell any of their products or refer any people to them, they will cut you a commission check every month. By enrolling in multiple programs, you really increase your chance to make a ton of money. The best thing is most of these programs are 100% free!

PLR products - PLR stands for private label rights. People offer online products for resale distribution. A lot of these are information or software based products. You can make money off of these types of products by purchasing them and redoing them so they have your name and your website printed all over them. Once you purchase them, they are legally yours to resell at will. Some of these products can use a major over haul, but the end result can end up making you a huge profit, making it well worth your time and effort.

Get paid to take surveys - Some companies and corporations pay a lot of money for market research. There are online companies that you can sign up with that will alert you when a new survey is available. Once you complete the survey and meet the proper requirements, you get paid!

Write articles - Just by writing articles, you can make money! If you think you are a decent to good writer, outsource your skill and use it as an opportunity to make money.

Starting a business online is easy but does require a good amount of work. If you really want to succeed making money online, I suggest you do a combination of any or all of these opportunities or come up with your own. Just know that there are people making money online and you can too!

I recommend Scour - it pays while you search

Promote Your Company Website

Posted in Business by User ImageMZaidee

Resell RightDo you care promoting your company or organization website? Me? Nope…it is not part of my KPI (Key Performance Indicator).

Unless you are a business owner, proprietor, information officer or someone who is responsible to promote your organization’s website, then the below tips from an internet marketing guru will be useful.

So what can you do to improve the odds that you are reaching your anticipated audience? Here are the tips.

1 – Paperwork

This is the easiest and most economical method of advertising your site. Make sure you place your domain name on every form that is generated by your organization. Some of the forms to consider: quote, invoice, orders, purchase orders, delivery orders, statements, labels, letterhead, envelops, fax forms etc.

2 – Voice Mail Announcement

Announce your domain name and an attention grabbing message on your corporate and individual voice mails. A great way to attract users to your site is to offer an incentive that is available only on the web.

3 – Email Signature

Include your demographic information such as name, address and contact number, your web address and promotional information.

4 – Verbal

Make sure you and your staffs are constantly promoting your website and its content and value to your customers.

5 – Newsletter

Develop an electronic newsletter to advise your customers and prospects of your products and services and all of the incentives available on the web.

Provide an easy link within the newsletter to direct the user the appropriate web page. Send out this newsletter monthly.

6 – Links

Trade links (your URL) with other business associates, customers and vendors will drive traffic your way. When providing a resource link on your site to take the user elsewhere, make sure to open that link in a separate window.

7 – Media

Always include your website domain name when advertising or writing about your company in newspaper, magazines, trade publications, radio, TV, web, banners etc.

8 – Search Engines

Optimization, and SEO and PPC are a huge growing segment of the company and are the reason why companies such as Yahoo!, Google and others have grown as much as they have.

The basic concept is to properly optimize your site using certain keywords to increase the odds that people can easily find you when they surf and search the web.

You can start planning and implementing the above tips. Don’t lose the opportunities that are out there.

What’s in a Business Model?

Posted in Business by User ImageMZaidee

Blogging To The BankAs I mentioned before, there is no different between online and offline or conventional business. Once you’ve outlined your first thoughts about your new business, it’s time to learn more about a business model. What is in a business model? How does the information in a business model apply to your new business?

There are six basic elements in a business model:

Element 1: Value Proposition – the value your business will provide to its customers; what the value of your business is to your target customers.

Element 2: Target Market – the customers your business will serve; people who will gain from using your product or services.

Element 3: Value Chain — the way your business will be organized to deliver the product or service you provide.

Element 4: Cost Structure and Target Margins — all the sources of business revenues and the contribution each source makes to the total profit picture.

Element 5: Value Network (or, how much money will I need and how will I get it?) - the amount of money you need to launch the business and how much working capital you need to keep it running.

Element 6: Value Network – the unique product or service you will offer that gives your target market an advantage, compared to what your competition offers.

Understand Your Business Model

Posted in Business by User ImageMZaidee

Google NemesisDoing online business is no different from a conventional business. You need to understand your business model. What is a business model anyway? A business model is exactly what it sounds like. It is a model – or diagram – of how a business will work.

Compare a business model to any other models you may have seen – for example, an architectural model of a new house. The model shows how the house will look, how it will be positioned on a lot, where the doors and windows will be, and how the inside rooms will be arranged. Depending on its size and detail, the model can also show how the systems within the house will work to provide water, light, heat, and air-conditioning. An architectural model can also show where and how furnishings will be arranged inside the house.

You are the architect of your business model. You can begin working on it once you have identified a business opportunity you want to pursue. It is an interesting and valuable experience. Your business model helps you identify what you need to establish, operate, and make a profit from your business. Most important, your business model highlights the decisions you need to make to have your business succeed. In short, your business model will show how your products or services will provide value to your customers and produce revenue that will allow the business to survive and grow.

Your business model is a keystone - a necessary part of your business plan. Potential investors, creditors, and suppliers will refer to your business model as they make decisions about how and when to provide you with the funds or services you need to start, manage, and expand your business venture.

Think of your business model as a blueprint and dynamic resource. It is a map of where you are and where you want to go with the business. However, as you learn more and as the business environment around you changes, you will want to edit or expand your business model accordingly. The time you spend on it, starting with the Review of your first thoughts, is time very well spent.

Online Store – Will I Make Profit?

Posted in Business, Money Maker by User ImageMZaidee

Running online store is not easy (yet not difficult). With good planning, I believe it is possible to make lots of money. But what are the basic key points to consider for starting your online store? Here’s an advice form one of self-claimed internet gurus.

Any online store should consider these key points:

  1. Sufficient profitability built into what you sell
  2. Competitive pricing - you do not have to be the least expensive - just in the ball park
  3. Ample product selection - the more products you have the better the odds that a visitor will buy something
  4. Multiple items with a choice of price range to fit more buyers’ pocketbooks
  5. Products that are related to each other or appeal to the same basic buyer demographic

If you are buying traffic it is critical that your average profit per sale exceed your advertising cost per sale. Bearing this in mind when you’re deciding what to sell can reduce the length of time it will take to grow your business.

Focusing on products with average prices around USD60-USD150 generates a higher likelihood of profit and a faster return on your advertising dollars. Advertising less expensive products may exceed the profits they generate. The more expensive the products you sell the longer the latency period between first visit and purchase and the more credibility you’ll need to establish.

If your site already has a large number of products, you can skew the odds in your favor by wisely selecting which products to advertise first. Try to avoid advertising products that are unlikely to generate profitable sales.

The very best products to sell online are those that:

  1. Have an average profit per sale of at least USD40-USD60
  2. Are inexpensive to ship - shipping cost is the number one complaint of most online shoppers
  3. Are heavy and difficult to get home - this motivates buyers to pay for shipping
  4. Are widely searched for and difficult to find offline
  5. Are available locally (which increases interest) but the in-stock selection is severely limited
  6. Must be special ordered locally - especially if you can ship more quickly than the local stores can

Consider all of the above points when selecting products and keep your eyes open for items that fit the above criterion. If what you find has low online competition you may be on your way to greater profits.

Good luck!
