BoA Kwon - Beats of the Angel
Posted in Beauty, Entertainment by MZaidee
BoA Kwon is a South Korean singer. Her stage name is BoA which is an acronym of “Beat of Angel”. She has released albums in Korea as well as Japan. Amongst Korean pop stars, BoA is one of the most influential in Japan due to her company’s active promotion of her music in Japan.
BoA Kwon ambition was to become a singer when she was a kid, but her route to star hood came with a bit of faith and coincidence.
When BoA was 11 years old, her brother went for a talent quest audition organized by Korea entertainment agency, SM Entertainment (SM).
SM was planning to produce an international superstar and wanted to train the prospect from young age, and BoA’s brother was asked if he got any younger siblings, and BoA was invited by SM for audition as well, and BoA was chosen to be the future star.
BoA’s parents were persuaded to allow BoA to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a singer, and she started her training in singing, dancing and foreign languages. She was once sent to Japan to learn Japanese and sing & dance skills, which according to BoA was some of the toughest time she ever had.
BoA released her first Korean album, “ID; Peace B” in 2000 and immediately noticed by Japan’s Avex and signed a contract.
In March 2002, BoA became the first foreigner to top the Japan Oricon chart, with her debut Japanese album “Listen to My Heart.” The album was co-produced by Avex Japan and SM Korea; Boa showed her talent singing in English, Japanese and Korean.
The BoA sensation spreads to all around Asia, with numerous Japanese and Korean hits in the past few years. She won the MTV Asia The Most Influential Asian Artist Award in 2004, she was just 18 then.
In February 2006, BoA released her 4th Japanese album “Outgrow” and top the ORICON chart again and became only the 2nd singer to have 4 consecutive album topping ORICON chart (after Ayumi Hamasaki).
It’s also a known fact that BoA is interested in acting as well. Her first movie involvement was as voice-actress for Korean version of Anime movie “The Hedge” in May 2006.

Yukie Kawamura – Stunning Japanese Model
Posted in Beauty by MZaidee
I found her profile from Kineda. She is really outstanding! She made her debut as a gravure idol in 2003.
Born January 23, 1986, Yukie Kawamura is Japan’s most popular Grand Prix G-Girl and bikini model and it’s not hard to see why. She stands at 5ft. 2in. tall, body measurement of 35-23-34, a sweet face, and a pair of C-cup breasts that seem to enhance everything that she wears.
Yukie was one of the few high school students chosen by Seikore, the famous annual national modeling audition for high school students that make-or-break Japanese idol careers. The immediate popularity from the competition shot her to the top of the bikini idol charts in 2003 and Yukie’s photo book sold out within the first week of release.
Yukie is definitely a natural when it comes to posing for the camera and loves to keep fit with a bit of casual volleyball. If Tecmo ever decides they want to do a real world version of Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, Yukie would be the perfect Kasumi!
In 2006, Yukie decided to give acting a try and made the move to the big screen with a starring role in “Kikyu kurabu, sonogo,” a Japanese Drama directed by Shion Sono. I’m sure it’s not the last we’ll be seeing of her.

Michelle Reis Stunning Beauty
Posted in Beauty by MZaidee
Michelle Reis is one of the leading Asian celebrities picked to front L’Oreal skincare and cosmetics advertising campaigns in China, Hong Kong and South East Asia. She has appeared in a number of their commercials alone, as well as with the other celebrities such as Michelle Yeoh and Gong Li for their Color Riche lipsticks and Color Appeal Star Secret Eyes eye shadows.

There’s no denying that Michelle Reis is stunning. She looks great in front of the lens.
Michelle is sometimes known as Michelle Lee Kar Yan. Born in Macau, her father is Portuguese and her mother is Chinese.
Michelle started modeling at the age of 14. She first came to fame when she won the 1988 Miss Hong Kong Pageant at the age 18. Michelle also won the Miss Chinese International pageant title in the same year.
1988 must have been a wonderful year for her because she also bagged two other titles within a span of 12 months: Miss International Ambassadress and Miss Photogenic (part of Miss Chinese International’s series of minor titles).
Her first film was Declaration of Help (1990). Followed by A Chinese Ghost Story II and Perfect Girls later.
Her so-called regular male film partner was Andy Lau. With Andy Lau, Michelle acted in Armageddon, Prince Charming, Drunken Master III and Casino Tycoon II.
Her list of movie roles was not impressive until she took a career detour and acted in Wong Kar-Wai’s Fallen Angels. In this role, the cinema audience suddenly took notice of her acting skills because of the demands made on her in this movie.
Currently, she’s enjoying earning big bucks in various commercials. You really can’t miss her on the highways because there are billboards with her face plastered all over the place.
Michelle Reis is easily the prettiest face in Hong Kong.
